What TwelveTabs replaces

By TwelveTabs · Updated

TwelveTabs replaces the shopping routine most of us do by hand: a dozen browser tabs, a few Reddit threads, a couple of review sites and an hour of comparing.

The manual routine

You search Amazon and open the top listings in new tabs. You try to tell which results are sponsored. You scroll the reviews on each listing, then look for a Reddit thread or a review site that agrees. Somewhere around tab twelve you open a notes file or a spreadsheet to keep track, and you still are not sure.

What TwelveTabs does instead

You describe what you need and answer a few questions. It searches Amazon and drops the sponsored results. It ranks the rest on how many sold recently, the star rating, the number of reviews and the price. It uses weighted reviews: a star rating counts only as far as its review count backs it, and a rating from under 100 reviews is unproven. It reads customer reviews for the finalists, then names one best match and the top alternatives with the reason. It takes about a minute.

What it does not replace

TwelveTabs works from Amazon listings and reviews. It does not read Reddit or other review sites, so if you want those opinions, they are still worth a look. An AI model writes the answer and can be wrong, so treat the pick as a starting point.
