How TwelveTabs researches its buying guides

What a TwelveTabs search does

Our free AI shopping agent works on Amazon. You describe what you need. It searches Amazon, ranks the listings by how well they fit, their rating, their number of reviews and how many people bought them last month, reads the reviews, and names a winner and the best alternatives. It uses weighted reviews: a star rating counts only as far as its review count backs it, and a rating from under 100 reviews is unproven.

How a guide is made

A guide is researched in one of two ways, and its "How we researched" section says which.

  • Live TwelveTabs searches. We run TwelveTabs on Amazon, usually two or three searches for one topic, and keep a few of the picks that each suit a different need.
  • AI research of the listings. Data tools fetch the Amazon listings and product details for a topic, and sometimes a sample of reviews. AI reads what was fetched, compares the products and names the picks.

Either way, the "How we researched" section says what was searched or read, on what day, how many listings there were and how many finalists were read closely. Each guide also says what we left out, and why.

Who writes the guides

AI writes each guide from that research, and it is published under the TwelveTabs name. Every guide goes through automated checks before it goes live.

Where the facts come from

What a guide tells you comes from the Amazon listings and reviews its research read, and from the sources it cites. Each guide lists those sources.

Prices and ratings

Prices, star ratings and review counts come from Amazon and show the date they were read. They change often, so check today's price on Amazon before you buy. Every guide shows the date it was last updated, and has a button that runs its search live on TwelveTabs, so you can see today's pick.

How TwelveTabs earns money

As an Amazon Associate, TwelveTabs earns from qualifying purchases. Our guides are independently researched and never sponsored.
