The top picks

Our top pick is the Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 A-RGB, a 360 mm all-in-one cooler whose listing names an integrated fan for the motherboard’s power circuitry, offset mounting for Intel and AMD and fan cables routed inside the hoses. We read 44 Amazon result cards for “aio liquid cpu cooler”, set aside the sponsored ones and opened 10 product pages. The Corsair Nautilus 360 RS is the quiet-pump 360 mm choice, the Thermalright Aqua Elite 240 V3 is a 240 mm cooler for a smaller case and the Corsair iCUE Link Titan 240 RX LCD adds a 2.1 inch screen.

This guide covers all-in-one liquid coolers only: a pump block, tubes and a radiator with fans. Our air cooler guide covers heatsinks with fans, and the two guides share no pick.

How to choose a liquid CPU cooler

Radiator size and case room. Tom’s Hardware says AIO coolers come mostly in 120, 240 and 360 mm radiators, set by the fans they carry, and that a bigger radiator generally has more cooling potential. A 240 mm is a better starting point for lower temperatures and slower fans, and a 360 mm generally cools better and may be quieter, but each fits fewer cases. The radiator needs room, preferably at the top or rear of the case. Two picks here are 360 mm and two are 240 mm.

Noise. PC Gamer says air coolers tend to run quieter on average, and that a liquid cooler’s noise depends on its fans and the pump. The Corsair Nautilus 360 RS listing gives a 20 dBA pump, and the Thermalright Aqua Elite 240 V3 lists two fans at 25.6 dBA or less. The Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 A-RGB lists P12 PRO fans it calls quieter at low speeds.

Sockets. PC Gamer says most of the best AIOs support AM5 and Intel’s LGA 1851 and that older chips may have limited support, with bracket kits from some makers. Read the socket list on the page. The Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro text we read names a contact frame for LGA 1851 and 1700, and the Aqua Elite 240 V3 names AM4 and AM5 and Intel sockets up to LGA 1700. The two Corsair listings name no sockets in the text we read.

Reliability. PC Gamer says AIO leaks are exceedingly rare and that the pump is an extra point of failure compared with an air cooler, though modern CPUs have built-in protection if one stops. It adds that coolant can slowly evaporate over the years. A longer warranty or an easy return is the sensible hedge, and one of our left-out coolers drew 1-star snippets about a failed pump.

Extras you may not want. A screen, a hub or software can add steps. Amazon’s own summary says the Corsair iCUE Link Titan 240 RX LCD is mixed on its screen and wiring, and one left-out NZXT cooler drew a snippet that its CAM software is a pain.

What we left out, and why

We read 44 result cards across two pages of “aio liquid cpu cooler”. 12 were sponsored, and we skipped them. Of the 32 different organic products, air coolers and fans were set aside by title. We opened 10 product pages, kept four and left out six:

  • Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L RGB V2 (B086BYYFG5). Its Style row names a model, and its rating total is about four times that of the next largest cooler here, so we could not tie it to one cooler.
  • Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 (no RGB) (B0DLWGG85P). The same cooler as the Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 A-RGB without lighting, under its own listing, so only one of the two is a pick.
  • Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 240 A-RGB (B0DLWGL38S). A second Arctic cooler in the 240 mm size. A 3-star snippet also says it did not work with an LGA 1151 Coffee Lake board.
  • Thermalright Aqua Elite 120 V3 (B0CL8ZMPL2). A second Thermalright liquid cooler, in the 120 mm size, so one Thermalright is enough.
  • NZXT Kraken Plus 240 (B0F5SGK5Q7). Its Style row reads Kraken Plus v2 and Kraken Plus RGB v2 and its Size row offers 240 and 120 mm, so the rating total spans more than one model.
  • NZXT Kraken Elite 360 RGB (B0D9GWQPDM). Two 1-star snippets report a pump that stopped after four months and a unit that arrived leaky and scratched.

Wirecutter has no page in Google’s top results for this search, so the comparison table has no Wirecutter pick.

How we researched

On October 5, 2026 we read the first two pages of Amazon's results for “aio liquid cpu cooler”: 44 result cards, 32 of them organic listings. AI compared them, read the Amazon pages of 10 contenders, set aside air coolers and fans, and named 4 picks. AI wrote this guide from that research.

Listings change: we read them on October 5, 2026, and a size or color may differ today. One rating total can cover a cooler's 240 mm and 360 mm sizes, which is how the Corsair Nautilus appears. The Amazon text we kept for each cooler is cut short, so a socket or a feature that is not named here may still be on the full page. Socket support is given only as each listing's text states it. All-in-one liquid coolers only: air coolers are in their own guide.

Prices, ratings and review counts come from Amazon and were read on October 5, 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is a liquid cooler better than an air cooler?

PC Gamer says good all-in-one coolers generally outperform air coolers, but air is generally cheaper and tends to run quieter. Tom’s Hardware adds that the best air coolers have caught up in places. If you would rather skip the pump, see our air cooler guide.

What radiator size do you need?

Tom’s Hardware says a 120 mm AIO should suffice for a CPU that is not a flagship and is not overclocked, a 240 mm is a better starting point for lower temperatures, and a 360 mm generally cools better. Each size up fits fewer cases.

Do all-in-one coolers leak?

PC Gamer says AIO leaks are exceedingly rare, and that a pump failure is possible but modern processors protect themselves if they get too hot. Coolant can slowly evaporate over the years, and some coolers can be refilled.

How did TwelveTabs choose these liquid coolers?

We started from Amazon’s own results for “aio liquid cpu cooler” and opened each contender’s page. We dropped air coolers, kept one cooler per product line and set aside listings whose menus name different models. We wrote each pick’s reasons from its listing and Amazon’s summary of it.
