The **[Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (M5, 2026)](https://twelvetabs.com/reviews/best-prime-big-deal-days-deals/#pick-1)** led our list during Prime Big Deal Days 2026: two lists, CNN Underscored and Tom's Hardware, both named it, and its Amazon page carried a Limited time deal badge on October 7, 2026. This page is a record of the 16 deals we checked, in nine categories. We checked them on October 6 and 7 and re-checked them on October 8, 2026. Amazon's Prime Day page, read on October 8, 2026, no longer named Prime Big Deal Days: its tab title read "Prime Day 2026". When we re-checked, 14 of the 16 deals below no longer showed a deal badge. That is why we treat the event as over, and why most deals below carry a status line instead of a price. We will refresh this page before Amazon's next Prime event. Two deals still showed a badge on October 8, and they keep the badge name and the price we saw, with the time we saw it. Check today's price on Amazon before you buy anything. ## How to read a deal on Amazon - **Look for the badge.** The pages we opened during the event showed three badge names: "Prime Big Deal", "Limited time deal" and "Limited Prime deal". A badge tells you Amazon itself is marking the item as a deal. - **Check the price on the day you buy.** Deals run on a clock and the number on the page can move. The time beside each of the two prices here is when we saw it. - **Check the membership.** Some deals were for Prime members. A "Prime Big Deal" badge names Prime, so a membership may have been needed, and that is our reading, not Amazon's wording. - **Check the exact model.** Amazon sells one product in many colors and sizes, each with its own page. Any price we show belongs to the listing we opened. ## Laptops and monitors Related guide: [Best Laptops for Work](https://twelvetabs.com/reviews/best-laptops-for-work/). ### 1. Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (M5, 2026): best for a new 13-inch laptop **Deal status:** no deal badge when we checked on Oct 8, 2026, 3:00:53 PM ET. Check today's price. **Listed by:** CNN Underscored and Tom's Hardware. **Why it made the list** - It is the 2026 13-inch model with Apple's M5 chip and a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display. - Two lists named it, which is why it leads this page. - Its Amazon page carried a Limited time deal badge on October 7. **Drawbacks** - One listing covers one configuration, so the price we saw may not match the memory or storage you want (inference from how Amazon lists laptops). **Skip it if** you need a Windows laptop. ### 2. LG UltraGear 27GS60QC-B Curved Gaming Monitor: best for a curved gaming screen **Price when we checked:** $142.49, Oct 8, 3:01 PM ET. Check today's price. **Amazon deal badge:** Limited Prime deal. Found on the Tom's Hardware list. **Why it made the list** - The listing names a 27-inch curved screen at 2560x1440 with a 180Hz refresh rate and a 1 ms response time. - It is a gaming monitor, so the refresh rate and response time are the headline specs. **Drawbacks** - The resolution is 1440p, not 4K, which matters if you edit photos or video. - The badge names Prime, so a membership may be needed (our reading). **Skip it if** you want a flat screen or a work monitor for long spreadsheets. ## Amazon devices Related guide: [Best Mesh Wi-Fi Systems](https://twelvetabs.com/reviews/best-mesh-wi-fi-systems/). ### 3. Amazon eero Max 7: best for a very fast internet plan **Deal status:** no deal badge when we checked on Oct 8, 2026, 3:02:37 PM ET. Amazon Fire TV Soundbar Plus: best for a soundbar with a subwoofer **Deal status:** no deal badge when we checked on Oct 8, 2026, 3:03:11 PM ET. The [Amazon Fire TV Soundbar Plus](https://twelvetabs.com/reviews/best-prime-big-deal-days-deals/#pick-5) is built for that. ## Home and cleaning Related guide: [Best Vacuums for Carpet and Hardwood](https://twelvetabs.com/reviews/best-vacuums-for-carpet-and-hardwood/). ### 7. Shark FlexStyle Air Multi-Styler and Drying System: best for one tool that dries and styles **Deal status:** no deal badge when we checked on Oct 8, 2026, 3:10:06 PM ET. Play-Doh 36-Pack Case of Colors: best for a big box of modeling compound **Deal status:** no deal badge when we checked on Oct 8, 2026, 3:06:06 PM ET. Check today's price. **Listed by:** Amazon's own Prime Day page. **Why it made the list** - The listing is a case of 36 three-ounce cans in assorted colors and says non-toxic. - No list we read named a toy, so this one came from Amazon's toy tiles. **Drawbacks** - Compound dries out if a can is left open (inference). **Skip it if** you want one larger gift instead of many small cans. ### 12. On October 6 we read each of the 13 that showed a badge again and opened 18 more, nine of which showed a badge. That made 22 picks. On October 7 we read every pick's page again and kept the ones that still showed a badge. On October 8 we re-checked those picks once more, and the 16 above are the ones that remain. Here is where the 17 deals without a badge on October 5 went. - **Waterpik Cordless Pulse 3100.** Its page showed only a clock, not a badge name. - **Hisense 65-inch U6 Pro and TCL 65-inch QM8L.** We saw no badge on either, but we read both just after the page loaded, so a late badge could have been missed. - **Apple AirPods Pro 3.** Three lists named it, but its page showed no badge when we opened it. - **Thirteen more with no badge:** the Sony WH-1000XM5, the Samsung S60D soundbar, the Samsung 9100 PRO SSD, the Govee outdoor string lights, the Apple AirTag, the Ninja Crispi air fryer, the Le Creuset Dutch oven, the Roomba 115X, the DeWalt drill set, the EGO leaf blower, the Coleman camp stove, the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast balm and CATAN. ## Questions people ask ### Is Prime Big Deal Days over? We treat it as over. On October 8, 2026 Amazon's Prime Day page no longer named Prime Big Deal Days, and most of the deals we had checked had lost their badge. We state no dates for the event. Check Amazon's page for what is running now. ### Did you need Prime to get these deals? Some deals were for Prime members. A "Prime Big Deal" badge names Prime, so a membership may have been needed, and that is our reading of the badge. ### Are these prices still good? This page shows a price for only two deals, each with the time we saw it. For every other deal, check today's price on Amazon. ### How did TwelveTabs choose these deals? We took deal names from published lists and Amazon's own page, then opened 30 of them on Amazon on October 5. We checked them again, plus 18 more, on October 6, read every pick again on October 7 and re-checked them on October 8. A deal made the page only if it had a new offer and a deal badge when we first checked it, and we preferred ones that more than one list named. ## How we researched On October 5, 2026 we collected 113 deal names from the lists of CNN Underscored, People, Tom's Hardware and WIRED and from Amazon's own Prime Day page. We then opened 30 of them, three in each of ten categories, on their own Amazon pages. On October 6, 2026 we re-checked the 13 deals that showed a badge and opened 18 more from the same lists. On October 7, 2026 we read every pick's page again and kept the ones that still showed a deal badge. A deal made the page only if, when we checked it on October 6 or 7, its page showed a new offer, an add-to-cart button and a deal badge. On October 8, 2026 we re-checked every pick once more, and the page now records what we found. AI wrote this guide from that research. Deals and prices change by the hour, so a deal here may not match Amazon when you read this. Some deals needed a Prime membership, and a deal may have sold out. We read each page once on each day, so a badge that loaded late could have been missed. The deals without a badge on October 5 were not read again. Wirecutter's list was not read. ### Sources - [Amazon: Prime Day page](https://www.amazon.com/primeday) - [CNN Underscored: early October Prime Day deals](https://www.cnn.com/cnn-underscored/deals/best-amazon-prime-day-deals-2026-10-05) - [Tom's Hardware: Amazon Prime Big Deal Days live deals](https://www.tomshardware.com/live/news/amazon-prime-big-deal-days-2026)
